On May 18-19 (sorry, I realize it’s been a while) Elicia and I joined some amazing friends in Mokpo. From there we jammed into two cars, hopped on a car ferry and went to the Shinan Islands to watch a triathlon. I experimented with making a highlight reel, video style, that captured the weekend’s events. Pretty typical weekend here in Korea. Hanging out. Seeing the sights. Meeting amazing people with great stories. Good food. Too many laughs to count.

Bus Yeosu to Mokpo 2.5 hrs > Ferry to Shinan 30 minutes = FUN!
Elicia and I came to Korea one week before our orientation started in order to visit some of our friends and see the beautiful country by traveling around. We’ve experienced a lot of new food, all of which has been very enjoyable. Here’s some highlights of meals we’ve had. Some is new food… other eats are quite familiar. Bon appetit!
Sippin’ a mocha while visiting temples from 1500’s.
Side dishes like this fill the table.
If you find a market, you can find fresh fruit.
Fresh clams in Mokpo. Delicious.
Awesome seafood in Mokpo @ barbeque next to sea.
Lunch in Mokpo included some mandu (and side-dishes of course).
.. and a huge bowl of home-made noodle soup with chicken. PS we sat on the floor, that’s pretty typical.
Meet Kimchi. This is on every table!
